Anna  - Manager and Owner of New Beauty Center          Anna, studied biology and chemistry in Rollins College located in Winter Park, FL.  After college, she managed a group medical practice for 5 years.  She has extensive experience in personal relations work and is currently involved in managing the in house surgical suite and the recently added medispa services.  Her passions include family, her two sons, art collecting, painting, traveling and going to the beach.  In fact, our entire office has been designed by Anna.
 
 

Leslia  (Lesly), RN Pre-Operative and Recovery Room Nurse
Lesly was born in Cuba and then came to Miami.  She has been working in the medical field since 1996.  She graduated from Miami Dade College of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 2001 and of Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate in Science (A.S.) and then with an Associate in Arts (A.A.) in 2003.  Lesly has worked in Progressive Care Units (PCU), Telemetry-Medical Surgical floors, Rehabilitation centers, and in the last years of her practice in a plastic surgery setting where her grandiose dream of uplifting people's self-esteem and beauty has become a reality.  Lesly is a current member of the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses (ASPSN) and is working on attaining her certification as a Plastic Surgical Nurse (CPSN) and on her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Florida International University (FIU).  Her hobbies include learning, reading, going to the beach, dancing, skating, and spending time with her family and three dogs.
  Dr. Paz Fernandez-Cruz - Anesthesiologist
Our anesthesiologist, Dr. Cruz, graduated from the University of the Philippines with her medical degree and has been practicing medicine for over 35 years.  She attained her medical degree before the age of 21 and was considered "too young" to practice medicine.  After completing her residency in New York City, she went on to head her own medical group practice for over 15 years.  Needless to say, one of her greatest passions aside from her family is her work.  She prides herself on being able to combine her two greatest passions by working along side her daughter and her son-in-law, Dr. Phillip Craft.  Other interests of Dr. Cruz's include fishing, and casino games, specifically poker and slots. 
 
 

Rebecca  - Surgical Nurse

Our surgical assistant, Rebecca was born in Venezuela.  She graduated with a medical degree from the University of Zulia in Venezuela at the age of 24, making her the youngest person ever to graduate with a medical degree from her University.  As a resident, Rebecca quickly stood out and was elected chief resident.  Not only was this the first time that a woman had held such an astute position, but she was the first person to be re-elected for a second year in a row as chief resident.  She specialized in obstetrics and gynecology, practicing for 4 years before moving to Miami, FL.  Upon moving to the states, Rebecca began working in the cosmetic surgery world.  In 2004, she met Dr. Phillip Craft and became his surgical assistant.  Rebecca brings over 16 years of clinical experience to the table, including working in local hospitals.  Her passions include singing, music, gardening, birds, horses, bowling, Japanese food, and movies.  She prides herself on being a great "movie critic" and the office part-time comedian.
  
 

 

 Marcella- Laser and Injector Specialist, RN

Marcella was born in Colombia, South America. She came to the United States at the age of 3 where she lived in Richmond, VA until 16 years old. She then went back to Colombia to learn more about her roots and her language.  Returning to the states to continue her studies. She graduated with a Bachelors in Nursing from FIU.  She has been working for 15 years in the plastic surgery field with several different surgeons throughout Miami as an OR PACU and recovery nurse.  She has spent the last four years specializing in injectables, which she is passionate about.  She likes to individually create treatment plans for her patients and artfully deliver them.  Specializing in Botox, Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse.  She is also very knowledgeable and up to date with skin care, photo facial rejuvenation, laser hair removal, and chemical peels.  She is an active member of international team for Operation Smile, which is an organization that helps the neediest children from 25 countries throughout the world. She donates two weeks of the year to helping children that suffer from cleft lip and cleft palate.  Her most recent missions were in 2006 to Morroco and 2005 to Paraguay.

 

Marcella has three children.  One of which, recently graduating from college.  The second is a Senior at Gulliver Acadamy.  Her 8-year old daughter goes to Bet Breira and enjoys playing the piano.  She enjoys traveling around the world and getting to know different cultures.  She is fluent in three languages – English, Spanish, and French.  Her interests also include dancing and fashion.

 

 

Liliana - Patient Coordinator

Liliana was born in Lima, Peru where her family originates.  She came to live in Miami with her family at the age of nine.  After high school, she attended Miami Dade College studying Psychology.  She has been working in the field of Plastic Surgery for the past 12 years.  As a patient coordinator she finds it very rewarding to educate her patients about all aspects of plastic surgery.

 

Personally, Liliana enjoys traveling, eating international cuisine and spending time with her pets.  She truly has a soft spot in her heart for animals.  In fact, she has rescued all of her pets including one dog and three cats.  During her travels, she has had the opportunity to visit South America, Europe and China.

 
 

 

Nicole - Front Desk Assistant 

Nicole was born in New Orleans, LA but was raised mostly in Southwest Missouri.  She graduated from Ozark Christian College with a degree in Family Nurture.  Post-graduation she worked as a nanny for a few years.  Recently, she has moved to Miami with her husband to start a new adventure in life.  Assisting in the office is a joy for her as well as caring for Dr. Craft and Anna’s two beautiful children.

 

In her spare time to enjoys the outdoors, volunteering, learning Spanish and of course spending time with her husband and friends.

  

 
 

 

 Clara - Post Operative Therapist

Clara M. Martinez is a professional aestitician born in Bogota, Colombia.  Clara graduated from Corporacion Internaional de Estetica in 1992 in Bogota.  She then received her specialty in pre and post surgical treatments for Cosmetic Surgery in Madrid, Spain.  With over 15 years of experience, Clara also specializes in other aesthetic procedures including facials and body treatments.  For nine years while in Colombia, she worked directly with internationally recognized plastic surgeons.  She is a licensed professional aestitician in the state of Florida and has practiced in the Miami area for the past seven years. 

 

She is pleased to join the wonderful team at New Beauty Center and is excited to share her knowledge and support with her patients to provide a safe, healthy, fast recovery and as a result a successful surgery with amazing results.  Clara has three beautiful children; she loves to spend time at the beach, going dancing and is also fan of Zumba.

 

Alexandra - Front Desk Supervisor

 

Alexandra was born in Colombia, but moved to Miami at the age of four and was raised here with her family. She is currently in school at Miami Dade Community College pursuing her degree to become an RN.  Her past experience includes working with an OBGYN for 3 years and volunteering for 2 years at Baptist Hospital in the trauma department.  Coming here to New Beauty Center, she wanted to experience something different.  She decided on the field of plastic surgery to enjoy something more positive and uplifting.  She truly enjoys interacting with the patients, seeing how they feel good they feel after surgery and how it truly can change their lives.

 

In her spare time, Alexandra loves going to the beach, reading, exploring politics, skating and rollerblading, watching movies, playing poker, and learning new things!

 

 Amy - Licensed Aesthetician

Amy was born and raised in Miami. She attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a Bachelors degree.  She then attended Florida College of Natural Health and graduated with honors (1st to pass state license exam at 100%).  Working with plastic surgeons for over a decade, she loves the aesthetics industry and is continually learning and researching new treatments in order to offer leading-edge technology in the skin care industry.  Outside of her career, she enjoys her three children, martial arts, and collecting glass shoes.

 

 

 

 

Melissa  – Massage Therapist
 
Melissa was born in New York and raised in Connecticut.  She graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration and psychology from Western Connecticut State University.  Post college, Melissa spent some time traveling in South America learning about her mother’s heritage.  Two years ago, she moved to Miami Beach and began studying massage therapy and hydrotherapy at Educating Hands School of Massage therapy.  One of her passions is learning about the body’s physiology.  Melissa attained her massage therapy license in early 2005.  Her strength is in post – operative massage.  Melissa believes the most satisfying part about her job is helping people obtain the results they desire as well as helping them feel better after surgery.  She emphasizes the benefits of massage therapy post – surgically are reducing bruising, swelling, pain, and adhesions.  Melissa’s hobbies include reading, going to the beach, working out, traveling, meeting new people, and dancing.
